Gubbio is one of the oldest towns in Umbria, perfectly preserved over the centuries and full of monuments that stand testimony to the glorious past of this medieval town- state.

Testimony of its ancient origins are the Iguvine Tablets and Roman theatre located just outside the walls. The monumental basilica of St. Ubaldo dominates on high and houses the remains of the patron saint.
